3. Release highlights

Open LMS users with Office 365 accounts can now create Teams meetings. The plugins has been installed and is enabled for all our customers. Teams meetings can be created using the Atto Editor.

Snap – Page resource content redesign

The Page resource, and how it used to display its contents in courses and general sites, has been redesigned in order to improve its usability, accessibility and general coherency between themes.

Before, the Page resource rendered its contents on the same site by displaying a new container on top of the Page resource’s description. This presented some AX and UX issues.

Right now, it was set as default for all Page resource’ contents to open on a new window, as per other Moodle themes.

This setting can be disabled if the past functionality is desired in ( Site Administration > Appearance > Themes > Snap > Course display)

Snap – New Messages icon

A new message icon has been added to the Snap header. This has been added in order to allow an easier way to view messages notifications and access those particular messages. By default, the icon will have the theme site color, and the notification bubble on the right.

Cache functionality in Snap Personal menu

In Snap’s advanced feed, within the Personal menu, a new cache functionality was introduced in order to improve this view performance. The cache is set to refresh every 30 minutes by default.

It is important no note that this functionality can be changed and customized by Admins at site level ( Site Administration > Appearance > Themes > Snap > Course display)

Maximum file size for Conduit Upload tab

When uploading a Conduit file through the interface, in the Operations > Upload tab, users have now a new maximum file size restriction of 1 MB for all types of Conduit feed files.

This restriction was added in order to prevent performance issues or file locks, that can prevent the Conduit scheduled tasks from running.

Users have the option to upload files smaller than 1 MB. If the file is larger, they can either divide it into smaller files or upload the bigger file directly through the SFTP.
